What We Believe.
It’s hard to make art by yourself.
In a world that is constantly filled with content, creating something and publishing it online often feels like screaming into the void. But it’s nice to know that you’re not alone. An echo can feel like your own voice howling into nothing, but by joining together, individual voices become a chorus of ideas that echo among artists. By supporting kind and dedicated creators, we can form a community that advocates for the sort of content we all want to exist in the world.
These are good people with good ideas, and we are proud to share their work.
The Echo Effect Team
Adam Decker is a Chicago based human being who has been podcasting since 2018. You can find him as one of the game show conquerors on Professional Contestants as well as a co-producer of Brackets, two podcasts for which he also serves as head editor. He is a co-founder of Echo Effect and has worked as a freelance media producer for several years before its launch, developing technical skills to bring to the team. When not podcasting, some of Adam’s most practiced hobbies include photography, DJing, and procrastination.
Zach Decker is an actor, comedian, and musician who has been podcasting since 2018. You can hear him on Professional Contestants as well as Brackets, where he also serves as the casting director. A proud graduate of the Second City Conservatory Program, he lives in Chicago with his partner Jenny.
Jared Smith has been podcasting since 2018: he’s a co-producer on Brackets, and one-third of the game show loving idiots on Professional Contestants. He’s a co-founder of Echo Effect, and it is just one of the many media projects he has helped manage and produce: he’d love to help you create a budget and scope of work for any artistic endeavor you’re working on. When he’s off-mic you can find him cooking for himself, reading a semi-pretentious history book, or taking an improv class in a basement.
